United States and Beyond
The distance education program began in 1996 through cooperation
with Korean Campus Crusade for Christ. Adjunct faculty were approved and site coordinators
appointed in Chicago and Washington, D.C., working with
Korean populations here in the
U.S.
In addition, programs have begun with Chinese churches in Los
Angeles and with the
Bridges International Educational Program. In 1997 a program was
approved for Trinidad and Tobago. In 1998 cooperative programs were begun with other
seminaries and universities in Florida and Latin America. In 2001 an extension began in
Jacksonville, and in 2004 in Cleveland. In 2005 a formal reciprocal
relationship was established with Universidad de Liderasco de Ibero-America,
which now offers both schools' programs in English and Spanish and with FLET
University to offer Bachelor's degrees. A program also began that year with
HarvestNet Institute in Cleveland.
All programs are available somewhere in the world in English,
Chinese, and Spanish.
The Bible and Ministry certificate programs and the Master of
Christian Ministry program are available through these distance education programs. Other
sites may be approved after qualified faculty and an administrator are approved. All
extension degree programs require one session at the
Orlando school or classes from two
faculty from the Orlando school.
International
The version of Campus Crusade for Christ staff
training materials revised by the faculty at TOI has been adopted by the
country of Korea (1999) and by the continent of South America (2000). In
these and other cases, we have made the materials available at no cost and
are cooperating with the development of extension sites. All the ministry
training materials of The Orlando Institute are available on this web site
under Resources/Training Materials.
