The Orlando Institute
for Leadership of Ministry was started in 1991 when Dr. Steve Douglass asked the Board of Directors of
Campus Crusade for Christ to authorize a school at the new headquarters in
Orlando, FL. Dr. Douglass asked Dr. Steve Clinton to be the president of the
school in May of 1991. The school began in September. In 1996 it was given
authorization to grant certificates and Master's degrees. The Orlando
Institute is a member of the International Leadership Consortium and the
Inter-American Council for Leadership in Education. Distance education
classes in the U. S. began in 1996 and internationally in
1997.
